We are all living in a so-called "modern" world, a world that spans more then just what our local area has to offer, and a world consisting of many other lands, people and cultures. Things going on in the rest of the world can affect us in our local area. What with the capabilities of communications and especially the Internet, we feel the local news media does not bring us enough of what the rest of the world is doing and what is happening. Look at the success of CNN during Desert Storm. Many of us were "glued" to their channel. It is our feeling "the local news stations have missed the boat" with the result their viewers will in fact go to those that bring the rest of the world to our doorstep via TV or whatever.

In this regard we at Karinya have endeavored to bring you what we think you will like and that includes news from around the world. We, the Karinya Webmaster regularly tune to ITN. We think they bring responsible reporting and news all of us can use. This is a global world and our interests, business and personal, with news from around the globe, we think, gives us an edge. There are others around the world, and in the chart below we have included several which may give you an idea of what is happening elsewhere. We will add others as we come across them.
