What is hair analysis? Hair
analysis is actually a detailed analysis by a qualified laboratory of the mineral content of your body system
using the hair as the sample. This measures mineral content and heavy metal (toxicity) of the body's
tissues. If a mineral deficiency or toxicity excess exists in the hair, it usually indicates deficiencies or
excesses within the body.
As the hair structure remains unchanged minerals are fixed within the hair. Toxic metals such as lead, arsenic,
mercury, cadmium, may exist within the human body and T.M.A. (Tissue Mineral Analysis) Hair Analysis is an
excellent tool for evaluating heavy metal (toxicity) poisoning. Hair is a unique biological material, which
because of its growth reflects the biomedical and environmental history of its client. TMA offers an answer to
the nutrient regime of the body as it accumulates trace elements over a period of time and traces a pattern
of nutritional metabolic activity. The hair shows over about the last three (3) to six (6) months what
the body has absorbed.
A TMA report can be used by a health practioner as an indicator for mineral deficiencies, excess or biochemical
imbalances, toxic metal (toxicity) excess or signs of metabolic disturbances within the body. Hair analysis
is the most efficient means of determing exactly what minerals and/or vitamins your body needs. the
process through SAFE is done by computer.
A report shows the following:
NUTRIENT ELEMENTS: These show the results for each of these nutrient mineral
levels of Calcium, Chromium, Cobalt, Copper, Germanium, Iron, Lithium, Magnesium,
Manganese, Phosphorus,
Selenium, Silicon, Sodium, Sulphur, Zinc
TOXIC ELEMENTS: These show the results for each of the following:
Aluminum, Arsenic, Beryllium, Cadmium, Lead,
Mercury, and Nickel.
SIGNIFICANT MINERAL RATIOS: This chart gives an idea of mineral
imbalance by looking at the relationships
between minerals. Mineral ratio balance is as important as the individual level as the ratio reflects the
balance between these two integrated elements.
TOXIC RATIOS: Due to toxic metals in the environment all persons are exposed to toxicity to some degree.
Industrial ingestion can be a major source of concern and as a result of mineral imbalance some people absorb
more than others.
NUTRIENT ELEMENT LEVELS: Daily
fluctuations in mineral levels will not be revealed in your hair analysis. A
long-term average reading will result and long-term patterns are represented. This report shows element
levels that have a marked increase or decrease from the reference range.
