For certain people the entire world has become an allergen. No one really knows the
ultimate effect of the 4 million chemicals we've created since 1915. For many people, it manifests in environmental
illness (EI) when every cell in the body becomes polluted, the bodily immune system weakens, and one's entire body becomes
hypersensitive to foods and surroundings. Food allergies are just one part of a large picture.
The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency - U.S. govt.) estimates that the air in your personal sanctuary
may be up to 10 times more toxic than the air outside! The biggest offender may be the seemingly harmless carpet
under your feet. It can give off, or outgas, poisons such as formaldehyde for years. Most of us are exposed to over
1,200 potentially toxic chemicals in our homes. 700 in our drinking water alone.
It's up to you to seek out remedies since it's for sure big business who produces these items that give
off gas and other toxins aren't going to give us the remedies - which are simply to quit manufacturing these things and
for us to stop buying them and buy only natural products. Getting the cleanest air possible, drinking
purified water, eating organically grown foods
(like they were grown 100 years ago) and taking vitamins and herbs will help detoxify the body and rebuild the
immune system.
Ultimately, we must heal the earth before we can truly heal ourselves. Like our bodies, the earth can
absorb and neutralize only so many toxic chemicals. The most highly toxic can't be transformed at all. We have
strayed far from nature's cycles. Gradually, however, we are realizing that toxic waste can't be cleaned up. It
can only be sealed away tightly in containers, with the hope that they don't leak. Until we resolve to make the planet's
health our top priority, environmental illness will only become more common.
